PUPPY ACADEMY

REQUIREMENTS: PUPPIES AGES 12-16 WEEKS

The Puppy Academy will not only introduce your pup to gunner-thrown marks, birds, bumpers, water, but will also socialize your pup. This program will also include crate training and in home manners. This is a crucial time in a pup’s development and this program is the perfect program to get your pup started in the right direction!

From the time the puppy is finished with his or hers last rounds of vaccines to six months of age this is where most imprinting takes place in your puppy’s life. This is where you set the foundation of their learning and training abilities. Your puppy’s mind is like a sponge and this is the greatest opportunity to socialize and introduce him or her to what their future holds.

Hope Retrievers puts a high importance on this stage of training. During this program we focus on teaching your puppy how to be focused and learn that working for us is in their best interest.

We will begin introducing your pup to several basic obedience commands.

Your puppy will be socialized around other people, and dogs. We also introduce your puppy to the field environment and expose him or her to birds (pigeons and ducks), gunfire, and swimming (if temperatures are positive).
