Hope Retrievers offers a well-balanced Retriever Training Program designed to fit all clients’ needs. Kelli specializes in training gun dogs, dogs interested in competing in AKC Hunt Test, and all breed obedience. THE TRAINING ENVIRONMENT
The dogs are exposed to various environments, terrain, and situations during their stay. We incorporate the use of bumpers, decoys and live birds throughout the Retriever Training process. Our live birds include ducks, pigeons, and pheasants. In addition to the daily Retriever Training regimen, each retriever receives specialized one-on-one training, “socialization” (interacting with other dogs), and daily exercise.
OUR MOST POPULAR SERVICE
Our most popular training program is our four month “Gun Dog Training Program“. During this time dogs undergo training in obedience, steady in the field, deliver to hand, and are socialized to gunfire. We also include introduction to live birds, decoys, and blinds. Once your retriever graduates this stage they are considered ‘Junior‘ level and can move on to higher levels such as ‘Senior‘ and ‘Master‘ level.

PUPPY ACADEMY
Requirements: Puppies ages 12 weeks- 16 weeks
This program will not only introduce your pup to gunner-thrown marks, birds, bumpers, water, but will also socialize your pup. This is a crucial time in any pup’s development and this program is the perfect way to get your pup started in the right direction!
2-WEEK PROGRAM

GUN DOG PROGRAM
Requirements: Any dog 6 months and older are welcome to give this program a try.
Your dog will be able to pick up singles, will be steady to shot, collar conditioned, force fetch, and obedient. They will receive marks daily that mimic real life hunting situations
MONTHLY PROGRAM

ADVANCED GUN DOG TRAINING
Requirements: Completion of the Gun Dog Training Program
Once your dog has completed the Gun Dog Program they would have the foundation skills to move on to more advanced work. This program will take your retriever to that next level! Your retriever will be introduced to diversion birds/shots, honoring, multiple retrieves, and blind retrieves.

ADVANCED OBEDIENCE PROGRAM
Requirements: 6 months and older
This Obedience Training Program is very popular with owners looking for a well-mannered companion. After completing this program your dog will be able to walk on lead without pulling, No, Heel, Here, and Sit. Your dog will be socialized and exposed to different environments and situations while going through this Obedience Training Program.
